Lorene Agnes (Basham) Koberstein, 78, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014.

She was born March 11, 1936 in Woodson, Illinois, the daughter of James Russell and Elizabeth (Flood) Basham.

She graduated in 1954 from Memorial High School in Evansville, Indiana. Lorene married Emory Koberstein on June 7, 1958 in Haubstadt, Indiana. 

Lorene was the office manager of Koberstein Trucking and 4K Enterprises for over 20 years. She enjoyed retirement with her husband of 56 years by proudly watching the growth of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also continued to be very active in her beloved St. Joseph Catholic Church community by being on the office staff. 

Lorene is survived by her husband, Emory; children, Mike (Jan) Koberstein, Tim (Julie) Koberstein, Greg (Jennifer) Koberstein and Julie (Ed) Love; grandchildren, Jerad (Alex) Koberstein, Heath (Kelly) Koberstein, Nicholas and Emily Koberstein, Erin (Justin) Schmitt, Kristen and Alyssa Koberstein, Skyler and Justin Wright, and Ashley, Ben and Gabe Love; great-grandchildren, Levi and Isaiah Koberstein, Emmitt Koberstein and Owen Schmitt; and sisters, Elisabeth Williams and Carroll Knight. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Basham; and a sister, Mary Jo Heitgerd

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton, with Father Ronald Zgunda celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Princeton.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 PM on Monday at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton.
