Richard E. Barrett, 68, of Princeton, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 at his home.

He was born in Princeton, December 13, 1945 and had resided in Princeton for the past year, after living most of his life in Patoka.

He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Teamster’s Union. 

Richard is survived by a son, Kerry J. Barrett of Spottsville, KY; a grandson, Cody J. Barrett; a great granddaughter, Hattie Mae Barrett; 4 sisters, Paula Barrett of Evansville, Faye (Jerry) Packer of Evansville, “Pudge” Powers of Princeton and Melanie White of Patoka; also several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father, James B. Barrett; mother, Delores I. Minnis and a sister, Brenda S. Spurgeon. 

Private family services will be held. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is assisting the family.
