Billy M. Collins, 89 passed away Thursday Oct. 31, 2014 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.

He was born in Francisco, Oct. 18, 1925 to William Edward and Fannie Elizabeth (Maxam) Collins. 

Billy had lived in Princeton most of his life. He retired after 64 years as an Electrician working for I.B.E.W. Local 16 out of Evansville. He served in the U.S. Navy during W.W.II serving on L.S.T. 673. 

He was a member of I.B.E.W. Local 16, V.F.W., Prince Masonic Lodge # 231, Owls in Evansville, L.S.T. Association and Eagle Arie 361 in Princeton. He enjoyed gardening and reading. 

He is survived by sons, Darvin (Cherie) Collins of Mt. Vernon; Dennis (Linda) Collins of Louisville and Harold (Kim) Collins of Princeton; 8 grandchildren, Jason Collins and Jennifer Collins of Ft. Wayne; Tiffany Collins and J.D. Collins of Mt. Vernon; Emily Robinson of Louisville; Benjamin Collins of Ellicott City, MD; Michael Collins of Oakland City and Brian Collins of Princeton; 9 great grandchildren, Isabelle, Luke, MacKenzie, Ava, Riley, Juliet, Addison, Berkleigh and Kadence. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Frances Collins in 1998, 3 sisters, Martha Lewis, Katherine Sisson and Vera Hurst. 

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday November 3, 2014 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Kyle Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the Francisco Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, with Masonic Memorial Services at 7 p.m. Retired Military Veterans will conduct military graveside services.
