Lillian M. Hollis, 97, formerly of Fort Branch, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at the Vincentian Home in Pittsburgh, PA.

She was born on March 29, 1917, in Haubstadt, IN to the late Nicholas and Magdalena Greubel.

She was a graduate of Haubstadt High School class of 1935, attended Lockyear Business School, and worked at Whirlpool during World War II. She was a longtime member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.

Surviving are her three children, Sina (James) Murphy of Pittsburgh, PA, Patricia (Thomas) Sugalski of Longboat Key, FL, and Jerry (Janet) Hollis of Elkton, MD.; eight grandchildren, Kevin (Christy) Murphy, Angela (Donn) Vanderploeg, Tony (Ashley) Sugalski, Matthew Sugalski, Rachael (Bobby) Young, Rebecca (Darren) DeGioia, Jason (Katie) Hollis, and Margaret (Will) Fortier; 16 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Melvin Hollis in 1992; infant son, Melvin; sisters, Dorothy Field, Mary Miller, Viola Neidig; brother, Austin Greubel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 10:00 a.m. with co-celebrants, Father Tony Ernst and Father Sudhakar Bhastati officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Holders Funeral Home, Owensville, on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014 from 5-8 p.m.
