Evelyn L. Cater, 88, passed away Saturday November 1, 2014 at River Pointe Health Campus.

Her parents were Max and Grace Smith.

She was born on March 22, 1926.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Cater; parents, Max and Grace Smith; sisters, Carmen and Shirley Smith.

She worked at Emge's Meat Packing Company, was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and graduated from Owensville High School in 1945.

Surviving are her children, Pam Rickenbaugh, Donna (Michael) Geiger, Michael Cater, Jeffrey (Amy) Cater, Steven Cater; Sister, Betty Evans; brother, Robert Smith. Grandchildren, Shawn Mundy, Shelia Perkins, Nathan Baker, Brannon Cater, Zachary Cater Brooklyn Cater, Camryn Cater,Keith Rickenbaugh and Sherry Spray ;Great Grandchildren, Savannah Mundy, Paige Perkins, Jacob Baker, Anna Cater, Kannon Cater, Landon Cater, McKenzie Baker, Samantha Kiritif, Logan Knight and also, very dear friend, James Hedden.

Service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Joe Vaught officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery in Cynthiana.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday Nov. 4, 2014 at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until service time.
