Marvin H. Meuser, Sr., 76, of Princeton passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014.

He was born on October 5, 1938 in Princeton to Doyle “Jiggs” and Helen (Blacketer) Meuser, both deceased.

He worked at Hurst for almost 50 years, including over 5 years as Southwest Regional Sales Director in Las Vegas, NV. He was a longtime Elks Lodge #634 member, serving as trustee for the new building project; member of Eagles, Aerie # 361, American Legion Post #25 and the United States Golf Association. He served in the United States Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis; and attended the Hillside Methodist Church in Princeton. He was an avid golfer all his life and his best golf buddies included Duane DeMoss, George Gilbert, Jerry Yelch of Princeton and David Hatton of Las Vegas. 

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Hazel (Leathers) Meuser; 2 sons, Marvin (Jodi) Meuser, Jr and George Meuser; grandchildren, Jessica and Dustin Meuser, DeJuan “Buck” Roberts and LaVonna (Tyson) Armstrong; great grandchildren, Bralen, D.J. and Devin Roberts; sister, Patsy Burns; niece, Kathleen (Brian) Modafari, all of Princeton; grandnieces, Natalie (Brian) Birrell of O’Fallen, IL and Noreen Hefner and Erica Modafari, both of Princeton; sister-in-law, Wilma Frankland and brother-in-law, James Leathers both of Princeton. 

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev. Jarmon Perkins. Burial will be at the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 pm on Friday at the funeral home. Military graveside services will be conducted by retired military veterans.
