Harriett Sue O’Ryan 77 of Oakland City entered rest Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

She was born April 15, 1937 in Lundy, Ohio to Arthur and Florry (Rigsby) Sparks.

Also, she was preceded in death by parents; husband, Russell E. O’Ryan Sr.; a daughter, Mellissa O’Ryan; a brother, Earnie Sparks; two sisters, Edith Henson and Joy Dillion.

Harriett was head cook at Centerville School for 20 years.

She is survived by her children, Teresa O’Neill of Oakland City, Carolyn Schmidt of Eaton, Ohio, Connie Stebbins of Germantown, Ohio, William O’Ryan of Dayton, Ohio, Russell E. Jr. (Peggy) O’Ryan of Springboro, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Art Sparks and Dick Sparks of Marysville, Ohio, John Sparks and Walter Sparks of Springfield, Ohio.

Graveside services will take place Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Springboro Cemetery in Springboro, Ohio. 

Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel is assisting family with services.
