Billie J. Hogg, 84, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014 at the Deaconess Hospital Main Campus, located in Evansville.

He was born on May 26, 1930 in Princeton to William (Carrie) Belcher Hogg.

He served in the U.S. Army with the U.S. Airborne 187th Regimental Combat Team. After his military service he was a boilermaker with the Chicago Bridge and Iron Company and most recently was an inspector with Whirlpool of Evansville. 

On Sept. 26, 1951, in Princeton, he was married to Ethel Halfacre, who preceded him in death on Oct. 1, 2007.

Mr. Hogg was a lifelong area resident and a member of the Oakland City American Legion Post #256.

He is survived by son, Michael Hogg of Princeton and daughter, Karen (Scott) Horn also of Princeton. Other survivors include sister, Mary Wiest of Princeton, two grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

He is also preceded in death by his parents and son, David Hall.

There will be a graveside service at 10 a.m.. C.S.T. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 at Decker Chapel Cemetery in Patoka with military honors. Arrangements were handled by Doyle Funeral Home.
