GLORIA ANN PHILLIPS, 83 a lifelong resident of Francisco, passed away Friday Jan. 23, 2015 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.

She was born in Evansville, October 24, 1931 to Roy and Ethel (Williams) Tipton. 

Gloria was a loving mother and wife. She was a lifelong member of the Francisco General Baptist Church, where she and her husband Eugene, had a Bus Ministry for the church members for many years. She retired from J.C. Penny where she worked for 35 years. She will be missed very much by her family and friends. 

Gloria is survived by her husband of 63 years, Eugene of Francisco; 2 daughters, Elaine (Steve) Krieg and Pam (Jim) Bailey of Francisco; 2 sons David (Kelly) Phillips of Carmichaels, PA and Darren Phillips (April Wood) of Mt. Carmel; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Nancy Strickland of Oakland City, Joy Ott and Darlene Fritz of Princeton. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Tipton and mother, Ethel Tipton McDevitt, great grandchild, Brenna Morgan, sister’s Maxine Marshall, Loretta Meadows and Juanita Steinhoff and a brother, Jim McDevitt. 

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Dr. Katheryn Webb and Rev. Larry Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the Francisco Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
