Candy A. “Powers” Winkler 65 of Oakland City passed away Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. 

She was born Aug. 31, 1949 in Oakland City to Landis and Evelyn (Garrison) Powers.

She was preceded in by her parents and a sister Darlene Bottoms.

She is survived by a daughter, Alicia Winkler of Belcamp, MD; brother, Landis K. Powers of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sisters, Alanna Powers and Debbie (Kevin) Wallace of Oakland City. 

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in Montgomery Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from noon until services Wednesday at the chapel.
