Wilma L. Lee 89, of Oakland City, passed away Tuesday
Feb. 10, 2015.
She was born August 25, 1925 in Pike County to Willis
and Edith (Farmer) Simpson.
On November 14, 1942, she married A. Dwain Lee, who
preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 1989.
She enjoyed sewing and working on the family
genealogy. She had been a 4-H leader for 15 years and served on the Rainbow
Advisory Board and was a member of the Grand Cross of Color. She was a 62 year
member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy (Terry) Byrns
of Seymour; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Lee of Oakland City; five grandchildren,
Scott (Cara) Lee and Dr. Holly (Steve) Heichelbech
all of Oakland City, Lisa (Tim) Broyer of Scottsburg,
Lori Byrns of Austin TX and Lana Byrns
of Seymour; and 9 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents a son, Stanley A. Lee and a
sister Phyllis J. Ross.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015 at the
Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City. An Order of Eastern Star memorial
service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday followed by a funeral service
officiated by Rev. Matt Malin.
Burial will follow at Cup Creek Cemetery in Pike
County.
