George Daniel Montgomery 85 of Oakland City entered rest on Friday August 28, 2015 at Good Samaritan Nursing Center.

He was born on November 15, 1929 in Winslow, IN to Prentice & Ida (Davis) Montgomery.

George worked for East Gibson School Corp. for 28 years. He was an avid fisherman and well known as the best fish fryer in Gibson County. He planted a garden every year including present year.

He was preceded in death by a Son Roger, his Parents, Sister Beatrice Coffman, and Brother Jim Montgomery and Infant Brother Charles.

Survived by wife of 64 years Evelyn (Bowen) Montgomery. Sons: Raymond (Theresa) Montgomery of Washington, IN and Rodney Montgomery
of Oakland City. Daughters: Marilyn Schisel of Petersburg, IN and Joyce (Jack) Weber of Oakland City, IN, Sister: Mary (Larry) Kramer of Petersburg, IN, Brother: Joe Montgomery of Watson, IL, (3) Grandchildren, (8) Great Grandchildren, (1) Great- Great Grandchild.

Graveside services be 1:00 P.M. Monday August 31, 2015 at Montgomery Cemetery. Rev. Darin D. Nossett will be officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 12:30 PM on Monday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel.
