Carson White, 69, of rural Francisco, went to be with the Lord Friday, September 4, 2015 at his home.

He was born July 2, 1946 in Lansing, MI to the late George and Nellie (Graves) White, and had lived all of his lifetime in rural Francisco.

Carson enjoyed serving and helping others, he had worked at the former Ernie’s Auto Service in Princeton for 25 years and then the last 20 years working for F & M Building & Home Supplies in Princeton. He attended Hillside United Methodist Church in Princeton. 

Carson is survived by his wife of 33 years, Janice (Brown) White; 5 children, Misty (Branden) Hoke of Princeton, Deonna Mercer of Evansville, Ellie Resler of Princeton, Alana Mitchell of Michigan and Jerry Cobb of Evansville; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a brother, George (Wilma) White of Francisco; a half-sister, Flora Sloan of Oakland City; and 3 nephews Bob (Beverly) Miskell, Ron Bota and Bill (Gayle) Arvin. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jimmy Cobb; a sister, Martha Arvin; and a son-in-law, Stephen Mercer. 

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Jarmon Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Decker Cemetery north of Princeton.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
