Buthyl L. Luff, 87 of Francisco, passed away Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 at the St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.

He was born Oct. 23, 1928 in Winslow, to Clarence and Agnes (Burns) Luff. 

He was a retired Coal Miner and Farmer. He retired from the coal mine in 1989 after working for Amax Coal and for the former Kings Mine. He had lived in Francisco for the past 65 years. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Princeton, a member of the Oakland City Masonic Lodge No 467, Hadi Shrine of Evansville and the U.M.W.A. Buthyl, loved to go to auctions and see what he could buy. 

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Frances (McEllhiney) Luff, sons, Greg. A Luff of Boonville and Mike (Lisa) Luff of Petersburg; sister, Clarice Nau of Midlothian, VA; 4 grandchildren, Greg Allen (Jennifer) Luff II, Jon Luff (Reagan Fuquay), Nikki (Brett) Luff Anderson, and Tyler M. Luff, 6 great grandchildren, Austin, Jenna, Addison and Lexi Luff, Jack Anderson and Mindy Fuguay

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Basil. 

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Brad Keenan officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, rural Princeton.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday with a Masonic Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m. at the Colvin Funeral Home.
