Arvel E. “Buddy” Grubb 73 of Petersburg, IN entered rest on Thursday December 17, 2015 surrounded by his family.

He was born May 11, 1942 in Logan Township, Pike County, IN to Jesse and Doris (Loveless) Grubb.

He formerly served as a Pike County Commissioner and was a member of the UMWA. He was a retired coal miner and farmer. Arvel and his wife Martha raised turkeys for Perdue for 27 years before retiring in 2013.

He was preceded in death by his Parents and daughter Debbie Brooks.

Arvel also had a natural talent for music and loved to play gospel music. 

He is survived by wife of 48 years: Martha “Joan” Gray Grubb.  Daughters: are Debbie (Richard) Anderson of Washington, Pam (Darrell) Terry of Petersburg, 
Vicki (Kevin) Edwards of Petersburg.  (7) Grandchildren, (10) Great Grandchildren and (2) Great Great Grandchildren

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. (Pike Time) Tuesday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Rev Eddie Willis will be officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M.  (Pike Time) on Monday at the Chapel.
