Roy Franklin Carpenter, age 79, born on July 25, 1936, passed away on January 22, 2016.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Dianne Carpenter, daughter Brenda Tucker of Colorado, son Terry Carpenter of Owensville, and son Lynn Carpenter of Evansville, six grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

His parents John and Pauline Carpenter, brothers Donald and Bob Carpenter, sister Joanne Saxe, granddaughter Melissa Carpenter, and great grandson Jayden Durinn preceded him in death.

Roy was a member of the First Christian Church of Owensville. He was an entrepreneur, a farmer, a cars salesman, owned a concrete business, and could sell anything to anyone. After closing his car sales business, he created and opened a manufacturing business of swing pads and chair pads, which was very successful. Roy's first priority was always family, friends, and his beloved community.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville.

Visitation will be held at Holders Monday, January 25, 2016 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
