William Gene Hartley 72 of Petersburg, IN entered rest on February 29,2016 at his
Home.

He was born on April 14,1943 in Knox County, IN to Cecil “Pete” Hartley &
Nora Gladys “Johns” Knight.

William served in United States Army during Vietnam. Also he was a Lifetime Member of V.F.W. Post #3587 in Petersburg and Oakland City American Legion Post #256, Oakland City Eagles Lodge 4288.

William was preceded by his Parents, Step Father: Paul Wade, Step Mother:
Margaret Hartley, Sisters: Vivian Miller and Karen Kay Lee, Brother: Ira Denzil Hartley and companion of 19 years Martha Arvin. 

Survived by daughter: Angela (Russell) Edrington of Petersburg, IN
Sons: William Hartley Jr., Richard Dean Hartley and Billy Arvin of Francisco, IN
Brother: Ron Hartley of Oakland City, IN, Sisters: Sharon Kay Huebner of 
Francisco, IN, Connie Sanders of Shoals, IN and Abigail Haywood of Bedford, IN.
Grandchildren: Brandon, Tristen and Devon Beadles and Riley Edrington

Services will be 1:00 P.M. CST Saturday March 5,2016 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in Martins Cemetery. Bro: Lloyd Jones will be officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. Saturday until services.
