William F. Speedy, 64, of Patoka, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.

He was born on May 26, 1951 in Princeton, Indiana to Glenn R. and Etta Joyce (Foley) Speedy.

He retired as captain of the fire department at Toyota Motor Manufacturing and also retired from Menard’s. He loved fishing, golf, bird watching, gardening, NASCAR, and his family. He served in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Susan (Tolbert) Speedy of Patoka, whom he married July 2, 2010; his mother, Joyce; 5 children, Misty Johnson of Allendale, IL, David Speedy of Milwaukee, WI, Jamy Speedy of Indianapolis, Jesseka Tolbert and Lindy Pauley, both of Princeton; 2 sisters, Linda Rutledge of Bloomington and Elaine (Rick) Sides of Ft. Branch; 2 brothers, Glenn (Pam) Speedy of Franklin, TN and Royce Speedy of Princeton; 8 grandchildren, Kaylie Castro, Blake and Logan Brown, Maddy, Zoe, & Levi Speedy, Dallas & Cash Sullivan; and 1 great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn in 2005.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Pastor Donald Utley. Burial will be at the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Ft. Branch.

Visitation will be from 11 am until 2 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
