Verda Ellen Jorden, 94, of Princeton, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016 at the home of her daughter in Patoka.

She was born on February 11, 1922 in Grayville, Illinois to the late Albert A. and Wanda Ellen (Watkins) Jackson.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Golden Fleece Chapter 176 in Princeton and also a member of Bethel Memorial Church in Princeton.

She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Wesley of Princeton and Dawn (Bobby) York of Patoka; six grandchildren, Amber, Michelle, Justin, Jennifer, Jamie and Jorden; also eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Clarence “Punch” Jorden on July 3, 2014; and also several siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
