Gregory A. Whitten Sr., 63, of Princeton passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.

He was born on October 28, 1952 in Princeton, IN to Edgar and Madge (Hannah) Whitten.

He lived most of his life in Princeton and graduated from PCHS in 1970. He was a supervisor at Anchor Industries in Evansville for many years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #354 and American Legion Post 25. He was also a member of the Princeton Country Club and loved playing golf. He also enjoyed his family and especially his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Whitten of Princeton; children, Gregory A. Whitten Jr of Vincennes; Hannah (Travis) Thompson of Princeton, Rebecca (George) Willis of Princeton and Kimberly Vassilakis of Daytona Beach, FL; 7 grandchildren; brother, Charles “Buck” Whitten of Evansville; and a sister, Nedra Way of Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bill Virden; and a sister, Nancy Virden Lofton. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will be at the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
