Craig A. Chavis, 64, of Evansville, passed away at his home.

He was born April 3, 1952 in Princeton, Indiana and had been a resident of Evansville for the past 20 years, coming from Princeton.

He was an employee of Pittsburgh Glass Works in Evansville, where he had worked for the past 30 + years.

Survivors include his daughter, Crystal Appleton of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; four brothers, Gregory, Von, Dana and Tyrone Chavis; four sisters, Alvyna Goins, Gwen Hurd, Tamara Givens and Tricia Rister; four grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Colvin Funeral Home, 425 North Main Street, Princeton, Indiana 47670.  Burial will follow at the Sand Hill Cemetery near Lyles Station. 

Visitation will be from 12 until 2 p.m. Saturday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
