Robert R. McConnell, 83, of Princeton, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit in Princeton.

He was born on November 8, 1932 in Francisco, IN, to Raymond & Clara (Schafer) McConnell.  Both preceded him in death.

He retired from Hurst Mfg. as a supervisor in 1992.  He was a past member at the Lions and Elks Clubs.  He was an avid car enthusiast.  He attended services at the Oasis Assembly of God. He loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kathleen F. McConnell; his children Larry (Cheryl) McConnell, Lisa Wilson, Lynn (Kevin) Hunter, Lee (Winnie) McConnell & Sheila (Joe) Whitehead; grandchildren:  Lori, Luke, Kristin, Kate, Brian, Corey, Carrie, Emilee, Clara, Amanda & Riley; great grandchildren:  Lindsee, Luke, Liam C., Landon, Lauren, Lawson, Kaden, Avery, Aubrey, Jenna, Liam H. & Caliyah; brother Bill McConnell; brother-in-law’s:  Ronnie Kunkel, Doug, Larry, Danny & Tim Seay; sisters-in-law’s: Peggy Miller, Nancy Roberts & Betty Antoff; and several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Annabelle McConnell in 1984; grandchildren Anna Therese, Katie Lee & Adah Anne.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Pastor Mike Marsh & Chaplain John Hilbert.  Burial will be at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton. 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
