Allen F. Fulling, 69, of Buckskin, made his final journey home on Friday, September 30, 2016, surrounded by family.

He was born and lived in Buckskin all his life.

He was born to the late Floyd and Norma (Beckley) Fulling on October 14, 1946.

He had worked for Vigo Coal for 26 years, retiring in 2011. He was also an electrician for the past 42 years, which he loved doing. He was also a member of the Buckskin Volunteer Fire and Rescue for the last 30 plus years. He was a member of the Buckskin St. John’s Church.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Carol Joanne (Lloyd) Fulling of Buckskin; son, Gary Fulling and his fiancée, Erin Nickens of McCutchanville, IN; daughter, Donna Sales and husband Jim Sales of Slidell, LA; step daughter, Theresa Gendren and husband, Don of Princeton; step son, Shane Bennett of Francisco; sister and brother-in-law, Janice (Fulling) and Bob Wessel of Crossville, TN; 4 grandsons, Bryce Fulling and Seth Fulling of McCutchanville, Randy Fulling and wife, Tyla of Russellville, KY and Zach Willis, who enlisted with the U.S. Air Force and stationed in Japan; 6 step grandchildren, Anthony McDowell of Winslow, IN, Brandy Lienemann and husband, Zach of Owensville, Carol Hedden of Evansville, Katie Hedden of Oakland City, Cameron Bennett and Ryan Bennett both of Evansville, also Seth Sales of Russellville, KY; 1 great granddaughter, Hayven Fulling of Russellville; 10 step great grandchildren, Landon Hedden of Princeton, Mariska, Karter and Kayden Lienemann of Owensville, Ryley Hedden, Leah Tom, Amelia and Oliva Sweeny of Oakland City, Austin McDowell of Arizona and Shane McDowell of Petersburg, IN; he also loved his fur babies, Abby Jo and Willie; also 1 niece and her husband, Kim (Wessel) and David Powell of Georgetown, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the St. John’s Church of Buckskin, 8260 E 900 S, Buckskin, IN 47647, with Rev. Bill Reed and Rev. Doug Gorman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home, 323 N Main Street, Oakland City, IN 47660 and again on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church. The IVFA will conduct a memorial service, with a firefighter walk through at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
