Richard G (Dick) Lemmon, 66, of Richland, formerly of New Albany, passed away at home on September 27 after a yearlong struggle with metastatic lung cancer.

Dick was the loving husband of Sue Brink Of Princeton; beloved brother of Linda Schell (Louis) and Sandi Lemmon Baker; son-in-law of Bruce Brink, Sr; brother-in-law to Bruce Brink, Jr (Becky), Carol Young (Harry), and Jane Ann Rogers (Tony); fun-loving uncle to Stephanie Napper (Larry), Brooke Barnes, and Wayne Whitehouse (Belinda), Brian Wolverton (Annette), Kristine Parsley (Eric), Freda Lesh (Zac), Zach, AJ, and Leslie Rogers, Jaleigh Cates, and Parker, Raleigh and Katie Brink; favorite great uncle to Kyle, Emma, Nathan, Will, TJ, Klaire, Cole, Summer, Jeter, Caleigh and Michael; and, cousin to cousin-extraordinaire Janet Holzer (Mark), Roberta Richmer (Gary), and Rita Christoff.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents John S. and Mildred "Millie" Conrad Lemmon, and his mother-in-law Lois Brink.

He was a lover of nature, wildlife, the great outdoors, and his houseful of cats. He enjoyed swimming and diving as a young boy, canoeing and kayaking as a young man, and wildlife drawing and photography until his death.

A memorial service for family and friends will take place Sunday, October 2, from 2-6 pm at the home of Jane Ann and Tony Rogers, 4970 N Old Hwy 41, Patoka, IN. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is assisting family with arrangements.
