Charles G. McEllhiney, 81, of Vincennes, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Gentle Care Nursing Home in Vincennes.

He was born on June 16, 1935 in Ramsey, Indiana to Gilson and Mildred (Fuller) Ollis.

He had lived in Vincennes for several years and was formerly of Francisco. He owned a motel in Lawrenceville, Illinois and had worked in construction and the oil field business. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served four years in the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Lynne Crisp McEllhiney of Vincennes, to whom he was married on August 28, 1982; children, Stacey Willis of Indianapolis, Dale Crisp of Fort Branch, Gale Valle of Texas, Cynthia Wilkens of Vincennes, Matthew Crisp of Mt. Carmel & Mark Crisp of Pierceton; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Danielle Rutka of Princeton; half-sister, Renee Affaitati of California; and half-brothers, Martin & Craig Ollis of California.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gilson Ollis; mother, Mildred McEllhiney; step-father, Dan McEllhiney; sister, Diane Patrick; and brother, Tim McEllhiney.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton officiated by Pastor Pete White. Burial will be at the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Graveside services will be provided by the Retired Military Veterans. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home.
