Juliette Mendibles, 77, passed away in Methodist IU Hospital in
Indianapolis after an extended illness.

She was born in Los Angeles, California on November 13, 1938 and moved to Princeton, Indiana in the 1990’s.

Better known as Mom, Grandma, Julie, or Sponge, Ms Mendibles had an
extended family that never stopped growing. After the death of her
dear friend Hattie Cooksey Birge, she stepped in as mom to her kids.
In addition, she has always been grandma to all the children born to
her extended family. She leaves behind an example of how loves just
keeps growing when it is shared.

She is survived by children Henry and Theresa Espinoza, as well as her
extended daughters Sharon (Johnny) McCarthy, the late Linda Ames,
Pamela Cooksey and Renia Cooksey. She also leaves her grandchildren,
Gena Memmer, Susan ( Tim Chandler) Monceaux, Vicki and Brian Calaski
and Kenneth and Chasidy Espinoza and Chad Monceaux. Also left behind
are her extended grandchildren Jennifer Morris, Jeremy Ames, Jonathan
Fredrick, Paula Horn, Kris McCarthy, Joseph and Brittany Cooksey,
William and Megan Cooksey.

Her great grandchildren left behind are Claire Graves, Mackenzie
Memmer, Gage Memmer, Dominic Memmer, Zayden Memmer, Salem Memmer,
Hallie Green, Zachary Monceaux, Rebecca Calaski, Benjamin Calaski, and
Michalyn Espinoza. Her extended great grandchildren are Jonathan
Fredrick, Rodney Fredrick, CJ Coomer, Elijah Ward, Victoria Abell,
Lathan Cooksey, Joseph David Cooksey Jr, Zeke Cooksey, Tabitha
Wildman, and Abigail Wildman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pasqual and Beatrice
(Solis), brothers Jesse Heredia and Frank Mendibles, and sisters Irene
Drew and Magdalena Rosario. Her brothers Anthony (Mere) Mendibles and
Mike (Priscilla) Heredia and her sisters Cindy (Clara) Heredia and
Antoinette (Henry) Guzman survive her. She also leaves many nieces and nephews
that she always remembered with great love.

Ms Mendibles spent years as a nanny and has many children that she
cared for that love her to this day. They will miss her as we will and
help keep her memory alive by keeping her alive in their hearts. While
we are heartbroken at the loss of this special woman, we will try to
live up to her example of love and caring.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
