Howard E. Hauger, 93, of Princeton, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016.

He was born November 8, 1922 in Salem, IN to the late William F. and Hazel M. (Akers) Hauger.

Howard served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He retired in 1985 as a quality assurance representative for the U.S. Government. He resided in Princeton since 1964 and enjoyed playing golf and watching all PCHS sports.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Paulett Oliver of Fairview Heights, IL and Jana Rebone (Joe) of Dallas, TX;a son, Steve Hauger (Brenda) of Princeton; 12 grandchildren, Nicole, Nathan, Joanna, Joseph, Thomas, Lori, Claire, John, Rose, Mary, Brynn and Kaley; 16 great grandchildren, Abigail, Andrew, Hunter, Ruby, Lola, Hazel, Eliza, Richard, Aidan, Violet, Adrian, Jacob, Jarrett, Charli, Cam and Cruz.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Loris Hauger in 1989; 4 sisters, Fayetta Hauger Majka, Martha Hauger, Mary Frances Hauger Fisher and Margaret Hauger Powers; 2 brothers, Lee Hauger (Peggy) and John Thomas Hauger; and a son-in-law, J.C. Oliver.

Public graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton, with Rev. Gary Arnold officiating. Burial will follow. Military rites will be provided by the Retired Military Veterans. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
