Douglas "Doug" E. Lamon, 65 of Oakland City entered rest on Sunday November 6, 2016 at his home in Oakland City.

Douglas was born August 2, 1951 in Sullivan to Fred and Margaret (McCammon) Lamon.

He was employed at Gibson County Solid Waste for 8 years and East Gibson School Corporation as maintenance and janitor for 18 years, he attended Clarks Chapel.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Marlene (Sweeney) Lamon 45 years of Oakland City, daughter Amy(Matt)Humphrey of Fransisco, son Brandon Lamon (Tiffany Moore) of Oakland City, sister Connie Sue Buck of Indianapolis. Grandchildren: Dakota Siekman, Alexis and Jeremiah Lamon, Taylor Humphrey, aunt JoAnn Lamon of Petersburg, a special family friend Adam Riley of Oakland City.

Services will be Thursday November 10, 2016 11:00 A.M. at Lamb Basham Memorial Chapel with burial at Montgomery Cemetery, Rev. Jeff Bryant officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday November 9, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and also Thursday 8:00 A.M. until service time.
