Emma Mae (Heldt) Loehr, 89, of Fort Branch, passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at Deaconess VNA Charlier Hospice Center of Evansville.

She was born in Vanderburgh County Thursday, Nov. 24, 1927, to Willis Ervin and Ruth Ivalene (Hosler) Heldt. They precede her in death.

On Tuesday, Feb. 18, 1947, in Vanderburgh County, she was married to Nolan Joseph Loehr.

She attended and served in the Fort Branch General Baptist for many years. In recent years, she attended and enjoyed Enon General Baptist Church in Princeton.

She loved her home, church, family and friends. She also enjoyed Bible study, sewing, quilting, painting, scrap booking, flower gardening and life.

Emma is survived by her husband, Nolan Loehr, of Fort Branch; children, Shannon (Kenny) Howe of Columbus, Harvey (Velma) Loehr of Franklin, Sherri Doan of Princeton and James (Julie) Loehr of Fort Branch. She is also survived by brothers, Carol, Dale and Lonnie, all of Fort Branch; and three sisters-in-law, Mable Heldt, Sharon Heldt and Vonda Heldt Ross; as well as 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and a sister-in-law, Willis Jr., Loren, Larry and Marvin and Rosie Heldt.

Funeral service is at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at Enon General Baptist Church located at 3467 South U.S. 41, Princeton, with Pastor Tammy Scheller officiating. Visitation was Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the church.
