Margaret L. Caldemeyer, 97, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility in Princeton.

She was born August 24, 1919 in Haubstadt, Indiana to the late Jesse and Clara (Spray) Barrett.

She was a homemaker and formerly lived in Owensville and Fort Branch. She was a member of the Owensville United Methodist Church and formerly belonged to a Home Economics Club in Owensville.

Margaret is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Leo and Camille Caldemeyer of Princeton; a step daughter, Nancy Gidcumb of Princeton; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; also 3 nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Caldemeyer; a daughter-in-law, Connie Sue Caldemeyer; a brother, Jesse “Crosstie” Barrett Jr.; and a sister, Helen Jane McReynolds.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery in Evansville. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home.
