Peggy D. Ellis, 64, of Francisco, IN, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Deaconess Heart Hospital in Newburgh, after a courageous 26 year battle with breast cancer.

Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love, prayers and support from family and friends carried her through this brave journey.

Peggy was born August 16, 1952 in Princeton to Betty Fine and Clyde Bolden. She was the oldest of 8 siblings.

She attended the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton. She also loved animals.

She is survived by her husband of 19 years, William “Buck” Ellis of Francisco; 2 children, David Donahay (Sara) of Princeton and Jamie Bailey (Cameron) of Chandler; step-daughter, Yvonne Ellis; step-father, Harold Wise of Princeton; 7 grandchildren, Chandler and Chase Bailey, Alexandria Donahay, Jaiden Harner, Maddex Maxwell, and Riley and Hailey Ellis; and 6 siblings, Debbie Sturgeon (Roger) of Francisco, Wanda May (Berry) of Princeton, Vicki Byrn (Kent) of Mt. Vernon, Gene Bolden (Doris) of Oakland City, Marti Hartley (George) of Princeton and Nick Wise (Tammy) of Carlyle, IL.

She was preceded in death by parents and sister, Sherri Wise.

Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Father Brian Emmick celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 10 am until service time on Saturday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
