Billie Jean (Cuzzort) Kerns, 86, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

She was born in Gibson County on December 3, 1930 to the late William Thomas and Leona (Beck) Cuzzort.

Billie was a cheerleader and graduate of Griffin High School class of 1948, where she was still a member of the Griffin Alumni Association. She had been a hairdresser and retired from Potter and Brumfield in Princeton. She was a member of the Owensville General Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star chapter 455.

Billie is survived by her 3 children, Kimberly (Mark) Schreiber, Karen (Brian) Clevenger and Klay (Doris) Kerns; 3 grandchildren, Damian Thornburg, Tara (Mark) Smith and Kayce Clevenger; 1 great-granddaughter Adalyn Smith 2 great-grandsons, Beckham Thornburg and Miles Smith; brother, Mike (Debbie) Cuzzort sister, Mary Ann (Paul) Stone; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold of 40 years in 1990 and brother David Cuzzort.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Holders Funeral Home with Bob Douglas officiating. Burial to follow in the Owensville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
