Charles R. Blume, age 70 passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

He was born November 7, 1946 in Campbell, MO to the late Raymond & Stella (Siebert) Blume.

He resided most of his life in Haubstadt. Charlie retired from Koester Transport.

He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Charlie was a US Army National Guard Reserve. He was a member of the N.R.A. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, spending time with his family and watching TV Westerns. He was also an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Charlie is survived by 2 daughters, Gina (Brian) Cooksey of Columbus, OH and Cheryl Elpers of Haubstadt. 2 sons, Steve (Kathy) Blume of Princeton and Jim (Laura) Blume of Haubstadt.  15 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild and 1 great-grandchild. Several aunts, uncles, cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 31 at Sts. Peter and Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM Thursday, March 30 at Wade Funeral Home with a Rosary service beginning at 3:30 PM. 

Visitation will also be held from 10 to 11 AM Friday, March 31 at church.
