Oma Dale Halwes, 93, of Princeton, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.

She was born April 2, 1924 in Princeton to Elliott and Mary Catherine (Hasselbrink) Brokaw.

She was a retired hairdresser and was a member of the hairdresser assoc. and also was a member of Village Homemakers. She loved to crochet and made blankets for Riley’s and St. Jude Hospitals.

She is survived by her children, Sharon Eifert (Neil) of Princeton and Larry Halwes (Barb) of Princeton; grandchildren; Stephanie May (Bryan), Chad Halwes (Ami), Betsy Halwes, Eric Eifert (Christa), Karla Bell (David) and Julie Williamson (Shawn); 10 great grandchildren, Madi, Elyse & Michael Halwes, Quinn and Delaney May, P.J. & Louis Williamson, Aspen & Ezra Eifert and Diane Bell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everett Halwes; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev. Chris Neikirk and Rev. Jarmon Perkins. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Ft. Branch, IN. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Thursday at the Colvin Funeral Home. We would like to thank Dr. Brink, Dr. Jordan and all the nurses at Gibson General Hospital & Deaconess Gateway Hospital. Also we would like to thank everyone at River Oaks Health Campus.
