David Keith went to be with the Lord on Monday April 3, 2017 in Greenville SC.

A man who loved adventure and anything that went fast, he is gone too soon from those who loved him including his wife of 40 years, Susan (Takacs) Keith.

His passing leaves his two daughters, Keri Lumm and Krista Wolfe with a void that will never be filled. In addition to his daughters, he is survived by his two favorite guys, Daniel Lumm and David Wolfe. Although they were technically sons-in-law, he loved them as his own. David was loved by all six of his grandchildren and he took great joy in playing with all of them. Ethan, Micah, Caleb, Allison, Eva, and Miranda were fortunate to have known his love, even if their time together was too brief. He is also survived by his brothers, Allan (Gail) Keith and Daniel Keith, brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews whom he loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Jane and D.V. Keith. David Keith enjoyed life, he knew how to really live and did his best at everything he attempted.

During his years in the army he served his country in Panama, and one of his favorite things from that experience was riding his motorcycle from Panama all the way home to Des Moines, IA. He also rose to the many challenges of his work at FedEx. He started his 30-year career as a delivery driver, setting the record for most packages delivered in a day, a record that wasn’t broken for several years. He then moved up through the company becoming a Safety Specialist and earning the company’s prestigious 5-Star Award for outstanding service. While Dave enjoyed his work, he loved the Lord most of all, and he showed that love by loving others. If you were lucky enough to call Dave your friend, you never had to wonder how much he cared about you. That is his greatest legacy.
