Douglas A. Deckard, 47, of Princeton, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at his home in Princeton.

He was born on May 7, 1969 in Greensburg, PA to Walter and Jayne (Hunter) Deckard.

He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Eagles and Iron Workers Local 103.  He was a sprint car, NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and the Dallas Cowboys fan.

He is survived by his parents Walter & Jayne Deckard, Princeton; sisters: Michelle Deckard (Bruce Bohlander), Brownsburg, IN & Sherry (Darrell) McDonald, Pittsboro, IN; niece Megan (Matt) Cantrell; nephew Matt McDonald & great nephew Israel Cantrell.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton, with Father Brian Emmick celebrant.  Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton and from 8 until 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, followed by a procession to the church for services.  A Rosary Service will be conducted on Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
