Billy Frank “Bill” Scott, 91, of Princeton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.

He was born on October 4, 1925 in Princeton to Edward Samuel and Gladys Beatrice (Minnis) Scott.

Bill was a retired Postmaster, last serving in Surrency, Georgia. He was an avid golfer, bowler, and a world class pool player. As a young man, he excelled as a thoroughbred jockey.

He is survived by his daughters, Mary Kaye Sloan of Princeton and Jene Ann Scott of Buford, GA; son, Sam  and Annette Scott of Owensville; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; and a brother, Aaron Edward “Ed” Scott.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma Jene (Fields) Scott in 1993; son, Michael Joseph Scott in 1964; brother, Bobby Joe Scott; a son-in-law, Gordon Sloan; and a very special friend, Nina Price.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Dale Beaver of Christian Fellowship Church conducting services. Burial will follow in the Decker Cemetery near Patoka. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 pm on Monday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
