Jana K. Bruce 63 of Oakland City entered rest on Friday August 18, 2017 at
Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.

She was born on Dec. 10, 1953 in Princeton, IN to Elbert & Mary Hembree.

Jana was preceded in death by father Elbert Hembree, brother, Mark Hembree and
daughter Malia Wira.

Jana had worked at Oakland City American Post #256.

She is survived by husband of 40 years Michael Bruce, her mother Mary Hembree of Alvin, Texas. Daughters Candeeda Grubb of Oakland City and Rose Bruce of Farmland, IN. And sons Matt and Chris Bruce both of Petersburg, IN. Brothers Brian Hembree of Alvin, TX and Richard Hembree of Valdosta, GA. Grandchildren Corbin, Lindsay, Haley, Brandon, McKalen, Colin, Maelyn, Jarret and Taylor.

Celebration of Jana’s life will take place on Saturday August 26, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the First Pentecostal Church in Oakland City.  Bro: George Bruce will be officiating Family as entrusted Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel for assistance.
