Margaret (Mans) Crecelius, 95, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 at Bridge Pointe Health Campus in Vincennes.

She was born February 6, 1922 in Francisco to the late Charles L. Mans and Ada (Mitchell) Mans.

She was the salutatorian of her graduating class in 1940 at Francisco High School and then graduated from Lockyear Business College in Evansville. During WW II, she worked for the F.C.C. in Washington, D C and then worked for Sun Oil and Lincoln Financial. She was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). She enjoyed her family and was a wonderful mother and spoiled her grandchildren, also was an avid reader and loved to travel.

Margaret is survived by her three daughters, Anne Hecht (Lynn) of Bruceville, IN, Patricia Fireovid of Cincinnati, OH and Carol Payne (James Jr.) of Rome, GA; seven grandchildren, Amy, John, Aaron, Sarah, Andrew, Katie and Isaac; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Mitchell Mans (Lena) of Fuquay-Verena, NC; and three Mitchell cousins, Kate Ashby, Georgia Rogers and Wilma Pierson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James M. Crecelius on April 11, 2012 and to whom she was married on December 31, 1947 at the United Presbyterian Church in Princeton.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. (CDT) Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Colvin Funeral Home, 425 North Main Street, Princeton, IN 47670. Rev. Mark Holland will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery near Francisco. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. (CDT) until the hour of service on Saturday at Colvin's.
