James R. Dearing, 64 passed away Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017 at the Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.

He was born Sept. 12, 1952 in Princeton to James O. and Madge (McKannan) Dearing.

James had lived in Lynnville for the past 11 years moving there from Alabama. He served in the U.S. Army. He was member of the V.F.W. and American Legion. He loved to fish, hunt and sport and target shoot. He enjoyed cooking and playing cards.

He is survived by a daughter, Wendy Dearing of Princeton: his mother Madge Dearing of Lynnville; and a step-son of Corydon; 6 grandchildren, Shadoe Holland, Cortney Ritchie, Iesha Skelton, Anthony, Alexander and Olivia Clark; 3 great grandchildren Liam, Skyler and Emma; 2 sisters, Ada Christopher of Colorado Springs, CO, Vicki Okes of Newburgh; 3 brothers, William Dearing of Greenup, IL, Mark Dearing of Evansville and George Dearing of Lynnville.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
