Mary Katherine (Gales) West, 88, of Princeton, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at The Waters of Princeton.

She was born July 25, 1929 in Princeton to Herbert Gales and Lula (Roberts) Gales Ward.

She had attended the former Evangel Temple Church in Princeton. She was a life member of former VFW Ladies Aux #1147, Eagles Ladies Auxiliary #361, American Legion #423 of Mt. Carmel and the Moose Lodge.

She is survived by her children, Gary (Faye) Dorris of Princeton, Susan Milheiser of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and Thomas Pyle of Crofton, KY; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Roberts of Princeton; and a step-sister, Margaret Abshire of Evansville, IN.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Commadore West; daughter, Sharon Cross; and son, James Wilcox.

Graveside service will be held at 4 pm on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton, with Rev. Mike Marsh officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with arrangements.
