Michael D. Baker, 70, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at his home.

He was born February 3, 1947 in Vincennes, IN.

He served in the National Guard and then enlisted in the U. S. Army. He was a truck driver for many years and retired in 2014 from Transfreight and was a member of the Teamsters Union.

He is survived by his wife of over 51 years, Shirley J. (Winingear) Baker; 3 children, Michael R. Baker (Shirley E.) of rural Patoka, Michele King of Princeton and Kenda K. Cummings (Jarrod) of Owensville; a son-in-law, Chad King of Princeton; 2 grandchildren, Joshua Baker (Mandi) and Kasey Kennard (Jon); 5 great grandchildren, Eli Kennard, Zeppelyn Baker, Presley Kennard and Haylen & Joplin Baker; sisters and brothers, Karen McBride of Waverly, KY, Kim Taylor of Morganfield, KY, Randy Baker of Monroe City, IN, Russ Sherman and Steve Frederick of Hazleton, IN and Robin Wilson of Wheeling, IN.

Preceded in death by his biological father, Dallas Frederick and his parents, Raymond and Betty (Johnson) Baker.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Scott Burr officiating. Burial will follow at Decker Cemetery, rural Patoka. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Friday at Colvin Funeral Home.
