James Earl “Jim” Almon, 85, of Evansville, passed away, Friday, December 15, 2017 at his residence.

He was born March 15, 1932 to the late Robert Earl and Nancy Eva (Jordan) Almon.

He was a 1950 graduate of Owensville High School and a 1958 graduate of Indiana University. Jim was a retired accountant for Emerson Electric in Princeton and he attended Christian Fellowship Church in Evansville.

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Dorothy, June, Evelyn, and Lois Jane and three brothers, Joe, Bob, and Jack. 

Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Edna Thomas Almon of Evansville, four children, Jay (Eileen) Almon of Evansville, Joe (Rebecca) Almon and Michelle Almon all of Denver, and Michael (Joelle) Allison of Atlanta, GA, and one brother, John (Karen) Almon of LaFayette, IN. Jim was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. 

Cremation was chosen by the family and performed by the staff of Holders Funeral Home in Owensville, Indiana.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
