Lynda J. Banet, 73, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at her home in Princeton.

She was born May 26, 1944 in Lubbock, Texas to Louis C. Roye Sr and Ruby (Collins) Roye.

She has lived in Princeton since 1980, coming from Olney, IL. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton. She formerly worked at Hurst Manufacturing and then the Evansville Teachers Federal Credit Union.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Banet of Princeton; 2 children, Shea Reneer (Rick) of Princeton and Jon Loftin (Michelle) of Fishers, IN; 3 step-children, Shawnee Halbig (Kenny) of Princeton, Victor Banet (Amy) of Princeton and Carrie Davis (Brad) of Gaston, IN; grandchildren, Brock and Beau Reneer and Hailey and Makenzie Loftin; 10 step grandchildren; and a brother, Ron Roye (Wava) of Lewisville, Texas.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and a brother and sister-in-law, Louis Roye Jr (Camille).

A Mass of Christian Burial service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton, IN, with Father Brian Emmick, celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
