Jeannine Frances May, born November 4, 1932 died Saturday, January 6, 2018.

Jeannine is preceded in death by her husband Donald L. May; her parents Leo and Inah (Trimble) Knapp; brother John Knapp; and sisters Rosalind McIntyre and Mary Jarrett. 

She is survived by her children Gary and Mary May of Haubstadt, Indiana; Steve and Linda May of Zionsville, Indiana; Linda and Stan Atchison of Owensville, Indiana; and Jim May and David Lawrence of Indianapolis, Indiana; her grandchildren Kelley and DG Asay; Allie and Jared Morrison; Kendra and Alex Barrett; Adam May, Alex May, Laura May, Elaine May, Jason and Skye Atchison, and Lauren Atchison; her great-grandchildren Brodie, Chase, Reid, Wylei, Waylen, Whitlynn; and her sister Julia Zuber.

Jeannine was the first homecoming queen at Haubstadt High School in 1950 and retired from Lincoln Financial Advisors in 1992. She enjoyed attending her children’s, grandchildren’s, and great-grandchildren’s sporting and school events. She spent much of her time as an accomplished craftsperson -making quilts, knitting and building miniatures for much of her life. She volunteered her time and talents as a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, Indiana and with the Labor of Love Quilters.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 10 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 PM Tuesday, January 9 at Wade Funeral Home with a Rosary service beginning at 2:30 PM.

Friends may also call from 10:00 AM until Mass time Wednesday at the church.
