Cletus A. Cox 72 of Sebring, Fl formerly of Oakland City entered rest on Monday 
Feb. 12, 2018 at his home in Florida.

He was born on April 4,1945 in Petersburg to William Raymond & Irene Catherine (McGuire) Cox.

He graduated from Otwell High School, and served in the Army National Guard for six years. Cletus was a 47-year member of Good Shepherd United Methodist church and served as Chairman of Board of Trustees while he lived in Oakland City. He attended Wickliffe United Methodist Church and First United Methodist Church in Sebring. He was member of Oakland City Masonic Lodge #467 and was a Past Master, member of Order of Eastern Star in Oakland City but transferred to Birdseye, IN Chapter, and 
member of the Hadi Shrine in Evansville. He was Maintenance Supervisor for Old Ben Coal Company and worked for East Gibson School Corp in Maintenance Dept. And operated Cox Green House for 12 years in Oakland City. Cletus really enjoyed camping, fishing and gardening.


He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Doyle Cox and son Brian Cox.


Cletus is survived by his wife of 47 years Jane (Miller) Cox, daughters Karen Cox, of Newburgh, IN and Paula (Robert III) Gibson of Darmstadt, IN. Granddaughter Juliet Gibson.  Sisters, Loretta Cox of Algiers, IN, his twin sister Cleta (Kenny) Mundy of Jasper, IN, Donna (Ron) Howe of Noblesville, IN and Verena (Gene) Blessinger of Jasper, IN. Brother Donald (Sue) Cox of Evansville, IN.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday Feb.19,2018 at the Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with Rev. Joe Hollen officiating. With burial in Montgomery Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until services on Monday at the Chapel.
