Jerry W. Hunt, 81, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.

He was born on April 28, 1936 in Princeton, IN to Jesse and Magdalene (Crandall) Hunt.

He was a tool & die maker for Potter & Brumfield/Siemens for 38 ½ years. He was a former member of the United Presbyterian Church and a current member of Bethel Memorial Church in Princeton. He was a 25-year member and a former Worshipful Master of the Masonic Lodge in Princeton. He was a former Worthy Patron of Eastern Star in Princeton and Ft. Branch. He was an Eagle Scout and a Scout Master of Boy Scout troop #232. Jerry was a former member of the Gideon’s. He enjoyed raising cattle and was an avid lover of camping.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann (Perlow) Hunt; 2 sons, Bob Hunt (Susan L.) of Freelandville, IN and Mike Hunt (Debbie) of Bowling Green, KY; 2 daughters, Brenda Simanski of Jupiter, FL and Susan H. Hunt of Princeton; 6 grandchildren, Julia Estabrook (Dave) of Ft. Wayne, IN, Amanda Rindler (Ryan) of Columbus, OH, Tristan Marx and Ashlynn Marx of Freelandville, IN, Michelle Anderson (Jesse) of Louisville, KY and Jason Hunt of Louisville, KY; 6 great grandchildren, Elise, George, Audra, Clara, Cyrus and Ben; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim Hunt; sister, Mary Lou Carpenter; and son-in-law, Phil Simanski.

Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Pastor Kevin Wilson. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 pm on Monday at Colvin Funeral Home. There will be a Masonic memorial service on Monday evening at 7 pm.
