Adolph A. “Jack” Greubel, age 87 passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at his home.

He was born April 6, 1930 in Haubstadt to the late Leonard and Dora (Adler) Greubel and lived on the same farm his entire life in Warrenton.

Jack was a farmer and former co-owner of Gibson County Distributing with his brother, Frank.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Marie Greubel and 2 brothers, Frank and Urban Greubel.

He was a lifetime member of St. James Catholic Church, also a member of Knights of Columbus #2215, Knights of St. John #345 and Haubstadt Chamber of Commerce (Haubstadt Sommerfest, Inc.) 

Jack enjoyed playing Clabber at the K of C hall, shuffleboard, horse shoes and playing pool. He was also an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and IU basketball. 

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jane (Breivogel) Greubel, 4 daughters; Sandy (Jim) Beierlein of Evansville, Vickie (Dave) Fortune of Haubstadt, Connie (Jeff) Huff of Haubstadt and Jude (Eric) Williams of Evansville.

10 grandchildren: Kristi Meyers, Brooke Wilke, Damon and Troy Fortune. Bryce and Abbie Huff, Emily Schmidt, McKenzie Killian and Evan and Patrick Williams. 8 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 21 at St. James Catholic Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 PM Tuesday, March 20 at Wade Funeral Home with a Rosary service beginning at 1:30 PM. Friends may also call from 9 AM to 10 AM Wednesday at the church.
