Jerome Anthony Marx

Jerome A. Marx, 83, of Princeton, Indiana, passed away early May14th, 2018, at home surrounded by his wife and children.


Born December 28th, 1934, in Evansville, IN, the son of late Henry and Elizabeth Marx of Elberfeld. 


He married his sweetheart Judith on February 15th, 1958 after a 4-year courtship. Recently celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary and 64th year of being best friends.


Jerry served God through the Catholic church by donating his time, treasure and talent. He was the President of Serra Club 1993 and 1994 and member for many years, member of Catholic Charities 1996 to 2002 where he served as President for a time during his membership, Fifty-year member of Knights of Columbus and a Knight of the Holy Sepulcher. 


He was the President and Owner of MRK Equipment Company which he started with Judith in 1962.


He is survived by his wife Judith A. Marx, children: Susan and (Gary) Fortner, Elaine and (Alan) Weiss, Julie and (Robert) Stevens, Steven Marx, Michael and (Lori) Marx, and David and (Sonja) Marx; including 22 grandchildren,16 great-grandchildren, 4 siblings; twin brother Vernon Marx, sisters; Mary Helen Wargel, Ann Marie Marx, and Kathy Baugh, and best friends, Harold and Shirley Kempf - all living 


Viewing will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 S Race St, Princeton, IN on Thursday May 17th from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M with a Knights of Columbus Rosary service beginning at 7:30 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will also be at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, May 18 at 11 A.M. with visitation from 10 AM until Mass time.

 Burial will follow in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Haubstadt, IN.
