Matthew R. Harper, 36, of Princeton since 2000, previously of Poseyville, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at his home in Princeton surrounded by loved ones.

He was born on April 3, 1982 in Evansville, IN to Robert and Brenda (Riley) Harper. Matt was employed by Berry Plastics of Evansville, IN.

He was a member of the First General Baptist Church of Princeton.

He is survived by his wife Chelsea (Pinkston) Harper; son, Paxton Lee, at home; parents, Robert and Brenda Harper of Evansville, IN ; brother, Robert Wayne “Robbie” Harper (Emily) of Evansville, IN; father and mother-in-law, Tom and Kim Pinkston of Princeton, IN; brother-in-law, Brent Pinkston (Olivia) of Fort Branch, IN; grandparents, Chalis Riley of Owensville, Ramona Beasley of Princeton, Marsha Richardson DeSchamp of Princeton, and Jack Pinkston of Mattoon, IL; 7 nieces and nephews, Haley and Brennon Harper, Hunter and Hayli Schenk, Luke, Owen, and Joel Pinkston; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Walter E. and Carol Jean Harper Sr, Pete Riley, Art Richardson, and Donna Pinkston.

Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the First General Baptist Church in Princeton, officiated by Pastor Brad Keenan. Burial will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4pm -8 pm on Friday at the First General Baptist Church. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
